My Experience:-

Like most nail polishes, this too comes in a stubby glass bottle with an equal sized screw cap. The color of the cap is a metallic silverfish pink color and makes the overall packaging look cute. Since it’s stubby and made of glass it may not be suitable for traveling. The brush is short, though it’s not a real problem. But I prefer longer application brushes. Also I noticed the brush shedding, which made my application a task the first few times. I wished Lakme invested in some high quality application brush. The brush picks up way too much product than needed which should be taken care of during application.

Staying power: – The staying power is amazing. Two coats of color lasted me almost five days without any chipping or fading. So I could this is indeed long lasting. On removal it stains the nails like most red based hue polishes.

Color: – Red Alert is basically a vibrant red with hints of maroon. It has an amazing glossy finish and hence does not require a top coat.

Intensity: – The formulation seems pretty good. At least two coats of nail polish are required to make the color look opaque. One coat looks sheer.

Finish: – Has a pretty glossy and smooth finish. It does not contain any glitter. It has a non-streaky, uniform application

Swatch: – (P.S – I was a responsible citizen who voted for the first time hence the mark on my index finger: P)

Would I repurchase/recommend?

Yes I would repurchase this but in some other color. I recommend this shade for office goers, as it could add some chic to your formal look. Also since red is a such a versatile shade, it could be used for this festive season too.

Conclusion:-

Overall this is a good nail polish for people seeking a nice long lasting one and if price does not matter as there are many more cheaper choices to choose from.

Until next time, take Care 🙂
