heya ,I am so pleased the responses I have been getting for my previous posts since some days.So today i decided to review something that should be your essential if oily skin is your concern.I picked these up from my local Target store. These sheets are extremely cheap Read on to know more.
ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets is part of the Essential line of extremely affordable ELF cosmetics. The website describes the product as:
‘ These amazing little sheets instantly absorb oil, minimize pores and transforms shiny skin into gorgeous matte perfection. Woven texture eradicates shine and keeps skin matte for hours. Green Tea Extract helps retexturize skin and mask facial imperfections. Travel pack fits neatly into your purse for on-the-go touch-ups. 50 sheets included. ‘
How to use :
‘To use just gently pull out a Shine Eraser sheet from the envelope. Blot sheet in T-Zone area, and flip the sheet and blot any all other facial areas needing oil absorption. Use whenever skin needs to be mattified and refreshed. ‘
Price : $1.for 50 sheets 🙂
Ingredients: Microcrystalline Wax (Cera Microcristallina), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract.
To begin with, these blotting sheets are much cheaper compared to other ones from brands like NYX, neutrogena etc.ELF products are either a hit or a miss which is why i need to think twice before buying anything from this brand. I have combination skin which gets oily as well as dry so for me I need not use this every time depending on the weather. This sheet definitely takes away the shine from my oily nose without displacing my makeup. Using this before applying makeup tends to make my skin much more primed and gives a nice matte look. These sheets help keep my T-zone oil free for a good 3+ hours although i do not see any pore minimising effect.
- does what it claims
- Smooth to use
- removes oil
- travel friendly packaging
- Not tested on animals
- 50 sheets is amazing 😛
- tears easily
- one sheet is not enough
- Unavailability in India
- no pore minimizing effect.
Will I buy this again and do I recommend this ?
Yes for both, as long as it does its job well and there is better, cheaper alternative available
Overall this is a nice cheap alternative to the much expensive ones available in the market. Until next time tc 🙂
